I Shall Be a Flower 16: Blue Jean

You are wearing blue jean.
So what? Even homeless man wears it.
Right!  This is a beacon fire.
Something is coming or
Just a door-knocking sound.
If the fire comes down the mountain
And swoop on me,
Then I would become a burning bush
Seducing old Moses.
Struggling to climb to the top of the mountain
Might make you uprooted so
Just stay put and wait for
A young butterfly
With lots of dreams
Coming and be trapped
By its own snare.
That butterfly would be circling around
With Armani in its mouth?
Because I should be a flower.

Bride of Blood (Exodus 4:24-26)

God probably was pissed off by Moses
who accepted God’s calling before he
realized what he did and was trudging

back to Egypt without any thought; God
pretended to try to kill vacuous Moses,
but he was lucky enough to have a quick-

witted and extremely reactive wife just
like me. Zipporah instantly circumcised
her own son before God killed her beloved

husband. Perhaps she is the only mother
who herself did circumcision on her son?
Who knows? There are plenty of weird

moms in this world. Even with her iron heart,
how frightened she was! How mad at her
thickheaded husband she was; she called

him a bridegroom of blood. Zipporah who
was not fazed at all at the sight of blood
can be called a bride of blood or a mother

of blood? If there were no Zipporah with
the great prophet Moses, I wouldn’t be
writing this kind of gem of a poem…hew.

Moses’ Dream

After 80 years of living in dreary wasteland,
Moses starts to dream a dream and
Suddenly He sees a burning bush.

Shocked by his dream that comes true,
Moses tries to flee but
Gives way to the weight of the dream,
Which has the Promised Land.

After decades of living in fantasy,
I start to dream a dream in flying colors.
What would be my burning bush
Which shows the Rose Garden?

Good to know
I am not Moses.
